The Tenth Annual International Scientific Conference "IFRS: Global Rules & Local Use - Beyond the Numbers" The Tenth Annual International Scientific Conference "IFRS: Global Rules & Local Use - Beyond the Numbers" 27. 10. 2022 Author: Irena Jindřichovská The tenth annual international scientific conference "IFRS: Global Rules & Local Use - Beyond the Numbers" was organized jointly by the Anglo-American University in Prague and Metropolitan University Prague as a hybrid event. The hybrid mode allowed us to meet some of the speakers in person, while also allowing access to other attendees from a greater distance. An interesting and valuable part of this year's conference was the fact that 13 Ph.D. students who presented their works here. The ambition of this conference has always been to provide a forum for young scientists to discuss and help them improve their academic performance. This goal was met as each paper was discussed and commented on by the professors and other speakers in the audience.
Pilot testing of the MELIA Observatory learning materials Pilot testing of the MELIA Observatory learning materials We have completed the pilot testing of the MELIA Observatory learning materials. Among other things, the project has created interactive presentations on media literacy for secondary school students. MUP was responsible for testing these materials which took place on 9 September and 10 October.

Why did I choose Bosnia? Of course, I had an opportunity to choose any other well-known countries like Spain or the United Kingdom but being a neophiliac and curious person Bosnia and Herzegovina attracted me more.

Metropolitan University Prague hosted the SCOM meeting of the MELIA Observatory project Metropolitan University Prague hosted the SCOM meeting of the MELIA Observatory project Since 2020, MUP team led by prof. Ladislav Cabada is a partner of the international project MELIA Observatory, which is dedicated to improving the level of media literacy, especially among children and students. The project partners from the countries of the Danube region meet every six months at the SCOM Meeting to discuss the progress of the project and its further development. However, the 4th SCOM Meeting was exceptional in that it was the first time that the project could be held in person.
