Luděk Niedermayer and Tomáš Sedláček: Economic Dimension of Integration On Friday 11 January 2019 Department of International Relations and European Studies organised a round table on a topic of Economic Dimension of Integration. The round table was moderated by a teacher of IRES Dr. Vít Beneš and the main guests were Dr. Tomáš Sedláček and a politician and economist Luděk Niedermayer. The event was attended by the students of the IRES department and by Erasmus students.

India’s Ambassador Gifted 100 Books to MUP H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Czech Republic, gifted 100 books to Prof. Michal Klíma, Rector of Metropolitan University Prague. Ambassador remarked that these books will help in enriching the students’ knowledge about different facets of India as a country.
Multiple Modernities in Latin America 30. 11. 2018 Author: Kateřina Březinová The international congress held by the Iberoamerican Centre of the Metropolitan University Prague and Luso-Brazilian Studies Department and KREAS project of the Charles University in Prague examined the modes of thinking about how to become modern and how to make the societies better within the Ibero-American political and cultural space, that is in Hispanic America, as well as Brazil, Spain and Portugal. It inquired about the ways modernity and modernization were understood in the past, as well as in the present day’s political and cultural processes in the region.
