This documentary offers an intimate look into the student-led uprising in Serbia, unfolding at Belgrade’s University of Dramatic Arts - the movement’s symbolic heart. By tracing how a tragic accident in Novi Sad exposed deep corruption and sparked a nationwide student strike, the film highlights the power of youth mobilization in confronting authoritarianism, fear, and political apathy. As students occupy campuses, march peacefully, and challenge Aleksandar Vučić’s regime, the documentary echoes the spirit of November 1989, when Czech and Slovak students helped catalyze the Velvet Revolution. It invites viewers to reflect on the enduring role of students in defending democracy and asks whether nonviolent resistance can reshape Serbia — and Europe — once again.
