The ‘D-Word’: Dissertation information and advice

1. 4. 2015 Author: Gerald Power The STAR seminar held a very special meeting in MUP Strašnice building on 24 March 2015, with a workshop dedicated to the question of ‘Your Dissertation: How to do it?!’

This topic clearly had appeal: room 305 was filled to its capacity. A group of teachers and postgraduate students from MUP, including Mats Braun, Lucie Jirů, Gerald Power, Jan Volín, and Jaroslav Weinfurter, offered advice on a range of relevant topics from the perfect paragraph to dealing with theory. The STAR (Student Audience for Research) is very grateful to the participants, who gave their time and knowledge so willingly, and to the audience for appearing in such high numbers and for their contributions to the discussion.
