Call for Panels and Individual Papers: Non-Traditional Security Issues in the Indo-Pacific: Threats and Opportunities
7th Annual Prague Conference on Asian Studies hosted by the Department of Asian Studies and the Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies Metropolitan University Prague, 20–21 November 2015.Despite the relative stability of the last thirty years, the Indo-Pacific still faces a plethora of security challenges. While most states in the region have been more concerned with maintaining domestic stability, economic growth, as well as functional bilateral and multilateral relations, the need to respond to the growing significance of non-traditional security issues and challenges has also been gaining on relevance. Challenges such as terrorism, separatism, environmental degradation, migration pressures, health issues (HIV-AIDS, SARS and other epidemics), arms race, transnational crime, water, food and energy security issues have started posing grave challenges, as they endanger not only the individual, but also the stability of states concerned, as well as the whole region.
This conference is inter-disciplinary and welcomes research findings in fields such as sociology, anthropology, economics, political science, international relations, diplomacy, along with international law and history. The main objective of the conference is to cover and analyze current
non-traditional security issues in the Indo-Pacific, as well as to scrutinize whether these threats enhance or impede regional cooperation.

Studenti Digitální ekonomiky se podíleli na nové studii Czech Founders

Startupy zvažují odchod z ČR, ukazují studenti Digitální ekonomiky Martin Přech a Jakub Hunák v nově vydané studii.
