28/04/2016 - Korean Culture through Systemic Constellations
The Department of Asian Studies and the Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies have the pleasure to invite you to a special seminar of Dr. Radka Švarcová on the topic of Korean Culture through Systemic Constellations.WHEN: 28 April 2016, 18:00–20:00
WHERE: MUP Prague-Strašnice building, Dubečská 900/10, room 305
This seminar focuses on the socio-cultural aspects of South Korea and how Korean socio-cultural environment differs from the environment in the Czech Republic. As Korea belongs among emotional and high-context cultures, if people want to better understand the local environment, it is crucial to feel the culture, rather than acquire the knowledge of facts. Through the method of systemic constellations, this seminar aims to help Korean non-citizens feel the key concepts of Korean culture and societal organization, such as hierarchy principle, collectivism and group cohesion, importance of ancestors, and particularistic ties. Seminar participants are going to actively participate in systemic constellations focusing on the mentioned aspects of Korean socio-cultural environment and the emotional difference between Korean and Czech cultures.
Dr. Radka Švarcová has been interested in the field of personal development and consulting for almost two decades. Over time, she has developed a deeper interest in systemic constellations, and in the last two years, she has been working in the field of systemic constellations and reconnective healing. Dr. Švarcová acquired her qualification through a one-year intensive training course in systemic constellations given by Jan Bílý, who is a well-known expert in the field, and a number of additional courses and trainings. Professionally, Dr. Švarcová studied at MFFUK and then graduated from University of Economics, Prague, with a Ph.D. degree in econometrics.
