Interesting presentation and routable discussion with Prof. Selcen Öner from Bahcesehir University in Istanbul offered informed analysis of Türkiye´s foreign policy but also overview of the domestic situation - just ten days before crucial presidential and parliamentary elections!Since Turkey is an important strategic partner for both the EU but also major global and Middle Eastern powers, those who attended the late afternoon session at MUP (and raised many interesting questions to our esteemed guest) will definitely better apprehend the next steps of the important geopolitical actor connecting two continents.

Populism and the politics of energy transition in Europe and beyond
This guest lecture will look at the impact of populism on climate action and decarbonization, both in their domestic and international dimensions. Earlier research tried to anticipate what that impact may be; with time, we learned more about the actual influence of populist political forces – both in opposition and in government – on energy and climate policy.
