28/01/2014 - Asian Floor Opening Ceremony

On 28 January 2014, Metropolitan University Prague welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of India H. E. Mr. Venkatesan Ashok as a guest of honor at the ribbon cutting ceremony of a set of Rabindranath Tagore’s paintings which were donated by the Embassy on the occasion of the Conference on South Asia in November 2013. The day was also a great opportunity to publicly unveil a brand new installation of a collection of vivid photographs from various regions across the Asian continent.

The pictures present a variety of ancient and modern Asian architecture, breathtaking natural landscapes as well as the peoples of Asia and their distinct cultural heritage and are further supplemented by a stylish wallpaper that features surprising and often peculiar facts about the world’s largest and most populous continent. Let the vibrant colors of Asia brighten up your day!
